Why I stopped reading self-help books…

No matter how many self-help or motivation books I read, if things don’t go as planned, that familiar feeling of despair still creeps in.

But when you think about it, things rarely go as planned for anyone. It’s all just a matter of perception — what seems bad today might make perfect sense tomorrow.

In the end, nothing is ever as amazing or as terrible as it feels in the moment. And that feeling of despair? It eventually fades, just like every tough day gives way to a new one.

So whenever that feeling kicks in, I remind myself of this quote from the Bhagavad Gita:

“Whatever happened, happened for the good.
Whatever is happening, is happening for the good.
Whatever will happen, will also happen for the good.”

It’s a simple reminder to let go, trust the process, and keep moving.
